Road Trip

Stephen was able to be out of the office for two weeks (between vacation days and working in California). We went to Utah and hung out with family and had a family reunion the first week, then drove to CA and hung out with friends and went to the beach. We had a blast! We were excited to be back home and in our own bed, but sad to leave CA at the same time. We listened beach waves on the iPhone for a couple of nights.
We were lucky that he was such a good traveler! We drove 17 hours the first day, then only had to drive 3 the second!

We went on a little hike to a waterfall while in Sandy, UT

All the siblings (minus Brody who was golfing)

We had fun at Seven Peaks both times we went. B LOVED to go on the rides, and we loved that they let him!

We stayed with Jon and Kristin Dahlin while in San Jose. We spent the day in San Francisco. We got to see the bridge and the pier. Casey and Rachel Flynn came later that day so we had an accounting party (minus 2)

At the Full House house

To get to LA, we drove down highway 1. It took  a couple extra hours, but it was so pretty and worth it!

Piano stairs in Hollywood! We just happened to be there during the world premiere for Planes, and saw several stars walk the red carpet. (unfortunately the pictures are on Stephen's phone)

We were lucky enough that B took a nap so well on the beach every day we went!

We LOVED having Mayci and Maddie with us!

18 months

We just had Beckham's 18 month check up yesterday! The older he gets the more fun we have with him! I can't believe how fast the time has gone! He started nursery a couple of weeks ago, and does not like it! We are hoping it doesn't take long for him to start enjoying it! One of his friends will be going in with him in the next week or two, and we are hoping that he will like it better when Logan goes in!

Here are his stats:
height: 33 inches (75th percentile)
weight: 30 lbs 4 oz (90th percentile)
head circumference: 90th percentile

*He LOVES hiding from us. As long as we can't see his face, we can't see him...right?
*If we would let him, he could live outside. He fights us when it's time to go in, especially if we are swimming!
*He wants to be in the "deep end" while swimming. If he can touch, it's not fun!
*He is starting to talk more! He can now say: more, no, mom, dadda, ouch, cheese, juice, fish, milk, brush, hot, bread, ball
*The only thing he will watch on TV is Bob the Builder, and it only keeps him interested for like 5-10 min.
*He is VERY independent and has to do everything by himself. He will often throw a fit if I tell him to do something and it wasn't his idea...
*He is very much a momma's boy and screams if I leave, although he does love his dad and gets so excited when he gets home from work!

We definitely love his daily cuddles and giggles!
I asked him where his nose was...he found it!

We went camping and he did so good! Even though he did wake up with the birds, he slept great!

At the Square!

I have more pictures to upload from my phone that haven't made it yet! We don't have much memory left on our computer, so I haven't uploaded pictures for a while! Hopefully I can soon!

Playing Catch Up

Well, it has been several months since I have posted. Beckham has grown so much! He is now walking like a pro, and has even tried running.
He is picking up sign language really well. I showed him how to do "help" twice, and then he did it by himself. He now signs: thank you, more, please, and help.
He says: momma, dadda, love you, Dizzy (from Bob the builder), and whoa!
He loves to give kisses and hugs.
He weighs a little over 27 lbs.
He has 7 teeth.  The doctor said by the time they are 2 years old he will easily have 16 teeth. That is 9 teeth in 7 months! Yikes!
We bought a little chair for Beckham and he thinks it's so fun to move it around the living room and sit on it.

He LOVES being outside. Beckham can walk the whole way to the playground :-)

He had a high fever and just wanted to lay on the couch with no clothes on.

His favorite things are playing with pen and paper

Little cheese ball. I told him to smile for a picture and this is the cute face I got (a couple of times).

Beckham liked looking at the snow, but did not want to touch it. (When I was cold, and told him to go inside he started screaming. He is like his dad and loves cold weather!)

He absolutely loves Brody.

Weighing in at 27 lbs exactly!

We had a busy day running errands. He was so tired he couldn't even finish his book.

We went to the Gentry Zoo and it was such a nice day!

Ringing in the New Year

This year we rang in the new year completely different than we ever have! Asleep in our bed! And, let me tell you, it was completely worth it.

We were down in San Antonio for Korey and Courtney Fras' wedding on the 29th. On the way home we stopped in Austin, TX to eat and stay the night there. To say Beckham had a rough night is a complete understatement! I am surprised that we didn't get people pounding our door in or phone calls telling us to leave. Around 5 am Sunday morning, we ended up taking him to the ER because he was coughing so much and panicking that he struggled to breath. After 2 hours there and some steroids we were able to leave with a baby with croup. It was a super scary night and I never want to experience it again!

So, after a couple of nights with no to very little sleep, Stephen and I decided to put Beckham to bed, and we went to bed ourselves. Stephen was asleep by 9:30 and me, by 10. We didn't celebrate right at midnight, but we have all year to celebrate and love 2013!

Stephen and Beckham in the ER room. B was finally getting some sleep.
