Beckham

Meet baby Beckham
Born 11/26/11 at 2:21 am
Weighs 8lbs 3 oz
21 inches long
I wrote in my journal all of the details, but here is a quick run-down of what happened. A lot can happen in 20 hours and I didn't want to bore you!
We went to the hospital at 6:00 am Friday morning to be induced. From the ultrasound they thought he was going to be a big baby. The doctor broke my water around 12:30, and I got an epidural around 3:00 pm. Things were progressing real slow. Around 10:30 pm I was fully dialated and effaced. However, because I wasn't feeling any pressure they said I could wait to start pushing so I didn't push longer than I had to. An hour later they said that we couldn't wait any longer and that I had to start pushing now. After an hour and a half, Beckham hadn't moved down at all. He was too comfortable where he was, he was facing up instead of looking down, and he had a big head. Three reasons for a c-section. They called the doctors that do the c-section and had them come to the hospital and get set up. After 20 hours in labor, Beckham was born at 2:21 am.

Our first family picture. It was definitely a long day, be are so glad that he is here and healthy! We think he is absolutely perfect! :-)

Today

Today was my original due date. Hopefully we don't have to wait until the 28th to meet this little guy! We are so excited! We decided to have his room be Razorback themed. My mom and I made the sheets, bumper pads, and she did the quilt! I think it turned out awesome!

call it what you want

I choose to call it a good deal!
At Wal-Mart last night, they had a bunch of candy on sale for $1.24 for the jumbo size bag. Who could pass that up? Not me! After I bought 6 bags I went home. My dad decided that he wanted to go and check it out, so of course I went with him. After we got back, Stephen, my dad, Brody, and I went again. Apparently Stephen couldn't pass up this good of a deal either!
Not only were the jumbo bags $1.24, but the box of 18 normal sized candy bars were $2.50! So what do we do? Buy 4 of them! On the way home we realized that we probably won't be able to eat all of this candy.

Either that, or we will go into a candy coma!

4 more weeks!

I know I have been bad at taking and posting pictures, but I made it 36 weeks! We can't wait to meet this little guy. I can now say that we will have a baby this month!

Walmart

Today is Stephen's first day at his job! He was offered a job on the last day of his internship in August. He accepted it and said that he would start in 3 weeks. He used that time to take a little break and study for the GMAT. As much as he hates pictures, I think he looks great!

It will be boring being home by myself. It's a good thing that I got a part time job working 4 hours a day. This will keep me occupied for part of the day at least! But, I am so proud of him! He is hard-working, determined, and dedicated. No wonder they wanted him! :-)

Summer Trips

In July we took a day trip to the Tulsa Aquarium! It was nice to just get out of the house and go do something. We were able to see some interesting creatures.
When we got there, they were trying to feed this eel to get him to come out of the rock. He didn't want the food, but ended up coming out so we could see him anyways.

My favorite animals are always the jelly fish! I think they are very interesting. They had several different types of jelly fish at this aquarium. Some were very very small, and others were big!

They also had a shark tunnel. The glass was about 4-5 inches thick. It was fun to watch the sharks swim above and around us.

A couple weeks later we drove to Branson and met Brian and Jaclyn at White Water! Sadly I don't have any pictures, but we had fun! It was so good seeing friends again!

After White Water we went to eat at a place called Lambert's Cafe. It is always a really long wait, but definitely worth it if you are in the area! During your meal they walk around with about six different side dishes and ask if you want them. And the best part, they throw rolls at you from across the room! The food is tasty, and the atmosphere is great!

Blue or Pink?

We had our ultrasound yesterday and waited until 9 to tell our families what we are having. We told everyone to come wearing either blue (if they think it's a boy) or pink (if they think it's a girl). I wore pink and Stephen wore blue just so we wouldn't give it away.

Blue Team

Then, I made a cake earlier that day with 2 layers. The middle layer of frosting was either blue or pink. We would find out when the cake was cut.

It's BLUE!

This is the profile picture of our baby boy. He was wiggling all over the place!

Boy shot.

My due date actually got moved back 10 days, so I am now due Nov. 28th. They thought I was farther along than I really am...because of this I am going back in 4 weeks for another ultrasound so they can check some things that were harder to see at this stage.

We are so excited for Baby Boy to come in November!
