Jumper

Beckham loves standing up, so we bought this jumper to see how he would do. The first time he just slumped down in the seat and was not sure what to do. Now, he stands in it. I can't wait for him to start jumping!
He kept rotating and didn't know how to turn back around.
Don't you just want to kiss his cheeks??? He was talking to me in this picture, so he is kind of making a funny face.
I can't believe this boy turns 4 months old on Monday!

Never Too Old

Yesterday we were invited to one of Stephen's co-workers birthday dinner. We were told to meet at Steak 'n Shake for dinner, then we would go to Chuck E. Cheese for games. I asked why Chuck E. Cheese, and he said because everyone that was invited has kids...

Well, we got there and everyone had left their children with a babysitter! His co-worker and his wife said they love going to Chuck E. Cheese. We had never been...but we had fun! Beckham was a trooper! He was happy until about 9 (when he usually goes to bed). Unfortunately, we didn't take the picture until right before we left. Maybe next time Beckham can be smiling in the picture! :-)

love this boy

He has found his fingers and always has them in his mouth...however, I still don't have a good picture of it. As soon as I grab my camera he takes his hand out. This is the closest picture I have!

He loves his play mat! He talks and coos at the ladybug. I took off the rattle Sunday night. He kept grabbing it and shaking it. He ended up hitting his head a couple of times before I took it from him...glad he didn't end up with a bruise!

He has also learned how to take his paci out of his mouth. Since he was born, the paci has been a necessity to have one close by! He needs to be sucking on something all the time! So, now he takes it out and then starts crying.

3 Months

I can't believe how big he has gotten! It seems like I was just holding him for the first time! He is now 3 months old and growing every day!

He hasn't gone to the doctor for check-ups since 2 months, but here is what he is up to now:
  • weighs 15 lbs (according to our home scale)
  • eating 6-7 oz every 3 hours
  • wearing 3-6 month clothes
  • drooling constantly!
  • loves smiling and laughing (he is a really happy baby...most of the time)
  • loves getting in the tub, but...
  • hates getting out
  • enjoys being outside
  • the sound of the vacuum calms him down and helps him fall asleep
  • the sound of the blow dryer scares him (and he cries the whole time it's on)
  • loves spending time in his swing and bouncer
  • LOVES being held
  • has slept from around 9 pm until 7 am for the last month!!! :-)
  • hates being swaddled, but it does help him sleep better at night, so we still do it
  • loves his pacifier
  • always laughs more for dad
  • has not slept in his crib yet

I am so thankful for this little boy that I have been given. He is a blessing in our lives and we sure love him!

Newborn Pictures

When Beckham was 3 days old we were able to have a photographer come to our house to take some newborn pictures. I know I am a little late posting these...but it was a lot of fun, and she was absolutely great! These are just a few pictures of the ones she took. More are on her website: photosbyshelly.com

look at those lips!

Smiles

In the mornings Beckham is so happy! Yesterday morning he giggled at Stephen, and today he giggled with me! We love seeing him smile! Mom took this picture on her phone, and I have tried so hard to get a picture of Beckham smiling on my camera. I have been unsuccessful... I will keep trying.

Crystal Bridges

Stephen and I went to Crystal Bridges on Jan 2nd. We thought it would be a fun way to spend his day off. Not even 10 minutes in, Beckham started crying and would not stop. He had a clean diaper and had just been fed. I ended up taking him out of his stroller and put him in the Moby Wrap. He fell right asleep and slept the whole time we were there (almost 2 hours)! I guess that just means we need to put him in his stroller more so he can get used to it and start to like it more.

We really liked the museum. It was kind of a chilly day so we didn't go on any of the trails. We do want to go back to go walk to trails. It was funny because we both like completely different art. He really liked the history ones. He would walk around and read about the different people. (I could care less...) I really liked the abstract artwork. (He said he could paint them...)

Unfortunately I forgot my camera and have no pictures...
